Tennessee’s hire of Jim Chaney as its new offensive coordinator is now official.

The Vols late Wednesday morning announced the hire of the now-former Georgia offensive coordinator, a move first reported by GoVols247 on Tuesday night.

It’s a return to Tennessee for Chaney, who spent four seasons with the Vols as their offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach under Lane Kiffin (2009) and Derek Dooley (2010-12) before going on to coach for two seasons at Arkansas, one season at Pittsburgh and three seasons with the SEC East rival Bulldogs.
