Port Adelaide coach Ken Hinkley will continue his long-standing tenure at the club afte
signing a two-year contract extension.
The deal will carry Hinkley into a 13th season at the Power and run until the end of 2025.
With a top-two spot on the line, the 56-year-old will be keen to turn his attention back to football and a potentially deep AFL Finals campaign.
Port Adelaide chairman David Koch confirmed on Tuesday that the club has signed Hinkley to a two-year contract extension.
Having waited until August to finalise the details, Koch was excited to finally announce the coach’s extended stay.
Koch acknowledged that, while under pressure, Hinkley has kept strong relationships with the players and his focus on the season.
“At Port Adelaide, there are high expectations every year and we will always make decisions based on what we believe is going to provide the best opportunity for success.

Hinkley joined Port Adelaide in 2013, taking the Power to a surprise finals appearance after a 14th-placed finish the year prior.
The former Gold Coast assistant earned the AFLCA’s Coach of the Year award for his efforts, and would go on to coach the club for 11 seasons.
Port Adelaide has won 141 games out of 234 with Hinkley as coach, for a 60 per cent win-rate across his tenure.
In his time at Alberton, Hinkley has led Port Adelaide to three preliminary finals and taken them to a minor premiership once.
