NEWS NOW: World reacts as Cincinnati Reds ruin Taylor Swift concert…….
On Friday night, superstar pop sensation Taylor Swift brought her massive “Eras Tour” to Cincinnati, Ohio where she performed her 44-song set to a massive sold-out crowd at Paycor Stadium – the home of the Cincinnati Bengals. But unfortunately for the Swifites in attendance, the Cincinnati Reds were not exactly respectfully quiet during a game next door.
While the Taylor Swift concert was taking place at Paycor Stadium, the Reds were playing host to the San Diego Padres at Great American Ballpark right next door. The back-and-forth baseball game ultimately went to extra innings and ultimately had a thrilling finish as Reds third baseman Spencer Steer ended the game with a two-run walk-off home run in the 11th to give the Reds a 7-5 victory.
Unfortunately for Swift and her fans, the Reds were certainly not quiet in their celebration.
During a particularly quiet part of Swift’s set – the “Evermore” era, for those wondering – the Cincinnati Reds chose to celebrate the extra-innings victory by launching a flurry of fireworks into the sky. And those fireworks were loud enough to drown out Swift’s song.
It certainly wasn’t ideal, and people had plenty to say about it on social media as a result.
