The 49-year-old will depart the Sky Blues after Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final at Wolves to take up the role of assistant head coach at the MLS outfit.

Former Wrexham and Swansea centre-back Lawrence won 89 caps for Trinidad and Tobago during his on-field career and played at the 2006 World Cup.

He managed his country from 2017 to 2019 before joining Coventry two years later, helping them reach the Championship play-off final last season.
